Information About Ian:


Personal Description:

I am originally from Northern Ireland and have studied French and Spanish at university. I have also spent a year in Dijon and in Madrid, teaching English to French and Spanish students respectively. I am married and am 27 years old.



Teaching Experience:

I was awarded a Merit in my PGDE Secondary Teaching Qualification at Jordanhill Campus, Strathclyde University, and have now been teaching for 2 years. I currently teach French and Spanish to Higher level. Being from Northern Ireland, I am now familiar with both the Scottish and the English (GCSE & A level) education systems.



Tutoring Approach:

The best way to get the best out of a pupil is by taking the time to make the languages accessible to them and by making it fun. Through these methods, the pupil can effortlessly grasp what is required to get them through the exams, whilst at the same time, be more aware of the purpose of a foreign language in the real world.
