Personal Description:

I am a Newly Qualified Teacher and trained at St. Mary's University College, Twickenham. I am enthusiastic and committed to helping children reach their potential through encouragement and nurturing. I enjoy working with children of all ages, but specialise in Primary School. I have specific training in Special Educational Needs and enjoy thinking outside the box to help develop the knowledge and skills which pupils will need in order to develop into successful, motivated and happy individuals.

Teaching Experience:

Year 6 class - Northolt - Many of the pupils whom had personal difficulties and English as an Additional Language.

Year 4 class - Hayes - Many of the pupils also had English as an Additional Language. Had experience in dealing with pupils with autism.

Year 2 class - Chesham - Varying ability ranges. Had the opportunity to stretch Gifted and Talented children to develop their thinking.

Currently working in a school in Pinner with Year 5 pupils, whom again are ranging in ability (including English as Aditional Language and Special Eductaional Needs students.)

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to access as many learning channels as possible with all children, engaging in practical learning. I would be able to provide resources in order to encourage pupils to be able to demonstrate concepts. I can provide additional work for between tutoring sessions to help consolidate new learning and will tutor children in line with the current National Strategies being used in Schools. It would be helpful to know the topics which are being covered and any additional needs that the child has. I am willing to tutor children of all abilities with any specific needs.

Qualifications:

• BA (Hons) ITT Primary Teaching
• A levels: English lit (A) Art (A) Geography (B)
• 9 GCSE's (1 A*, 5 A's, 3 B's)
