Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the best way to acquire true fluency in a language is to immerse oneself in it, cultivating an awareness of its cultural and literary overtones. I therefore encourage relaxed, informal conversation revolving around the tutees' particular interests, so that they may gain confidence expressing themselves in a way that is engaging for them. I tend to take this "immersion" approach from the beginning, but I am conscious of each client's individual wishes, and can also incorporate more conventional lessons in grammar and sentence-structure, should the ultimate aim be fluency in business or professional French. I truly enjoy teaching, and consider each lesson an opportunity to assist each student in their inspiring discovery of a new way of communicating.
