Personal Description:

I am a primary teacher with over 18 years of experience. If you feel that your child would benefit from extra support in primary-level maths/literacy/language, or if they need a little extra help in developing their reading and writing skills then I can help. I have taught all age ranges from Reception to year 6 and am qualified to teach to 13 years old.

Teaching Experience:

I am a primary teacher with over 18 years of experience. I have wide and varied experience and have taught children from a variety of backgrounds. During the course of my career I have taught across all 3 key stages at primary level. I have held 2 senior posts. Since becoming a mum for the second time I am currently teaching part time. I have been at my current school for 7 years. I currently teach Year 4.

Tutoring Approach:

Lessons can be for children who need extra support and confidence in a certain area or for confident children who need more of a challenge. Assessment of needs and meeting of children/parents will be fully involved before any tutoring begins to ensure you are happy with me as a tutor and my services. I have an enhanced CRB check.
I believe in building pupils' confidence in order to help them reach their full potential. I am happy to tutor in my own home, or in your home where your child will feel at ease. I have a wide variety of resources for Reception, KS1 and KS2 pupils, and I pride myself in my informal, fun, yet no-nonsense approach to child centred learning. I have a creative approach to teaching and learning and engage a variety of strategies to prompt and accelerate child's learning and understanding.

• A levels studied English, Art, History
