Information About Peter:
Personal Description:
I am a young, friendly teacher who has high expectations of both myself and my students.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught English and Media across a range of levels in a secondary school in Enfield for two years. I have prepared students for their Year 9 SATs exams, GCSEs and A-Level English Literature exams. During this time, I have specialised in teaching English to students for whom English is not their first language, and have created a programme of study for students labelled gifted and talented in English. I am currently Deputy Head of the Department.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe tutoring is most successful when personlised. For me, this means talking to the tutee about what they feel they need to learn, and where their weaknesses lie in order to create a comprehensive and effective programme. I have high expectations and believe learning is done best when enjoyed in a positive atmosphere which promotes confidence.
