Joanne - Cambridge tutor

Information About Joanne:

Personal Description:

I am an experienced tutor and native French speaker. I have lived in England for 17 years (Norwich, Bedford, London and Cambridge). We (my family and I) moved back to Cambridge in 2007.

Teaching Experience:

I helped in the classroom (nursery-KS3): Reading, crafts, Science experiments. I taught French to pre-school and primary school children in British schools.

I set up Science (Bio and Chem) practicals for GCSE and AS/A-level students in a secondary grammar school. I taught chemistry lessons to A-level students.

I gave lectures to MSc students. I supervised one MSc student for his research project.

I tutored French Students in English, Maths, Sciences and French (1993-1994). Since 2003, I am tutoring French, Maths and Chemistry up to A-level.

Tutoring Approach:

I always adapt the tuitions to the subject, the person and the end result wanted.

The first session is usually a 'trial' session so I can 'assess' the tutee(s)' needs. We can then decide how (and if) we can work together and the best way to achieve the result wanted.
