Personal Description:

I am French but have been living in the UK for over 25 years! I am a teacher, head of year and a mother of 3.
I am reliable, patient and above all persistant. I will not give up until I've found a way to get through to a student making him/her realise that, yes, French can be a challenge (sometimes...) but the rewards are great and very worthwile! Learning a language need not be boring and it's a life long skill that will have implications in your professional, personal and social life.



Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced qualified teacher and also a native speaker. I have been teaching years 7 to 13 in a secondary school for 16 years and previously taught in a bilingual nursery school. I have extensive knowledge of exam practise and techniques in all 4 skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) both at GCSE and A levels.



Tutoring Approach:

I am very patient and understanding of the challenges of learning a foreign language as I've been there myself.
I am passionate about French and have loads of resources to make learning fun, interactive and to help the learning "stick"! I try to use real French material (from magazines, video clips etc) when relevant.
I will tailor the sessions to suit each student's particular need and consolidate/develop grammar and vocabulary in speaking, writing, listening and reading.
