Personal Description:

Aged 20. Will be going into my third year of university in September 2008. Have been studying a Business Management & Marketing course for the past two years.

I believe my strengths include excellent verbal and written communication skills and an excellent standard of literacy. I also have a good rapport with young people, good personal, social skills and organisational skills as well as an ability to work with people, especially young people.



Teaching Experience:

I have no current teaching experience but I have been around children and young people all my life so I understand the needs they have and what they require from a tutor.



Tutoring Approach:

I am happy to work from text books people already have, help them with existing work or provide entirely new material.

Before beginning tutoring I find it important to identify the most compatible method of teaching. I also feel tutoring should be carried out on a one to one basis. I will leave extra work each session for the child to complete independently if required.

Some children tend to find certain subjects extremely difficult and are always afraid to ask for the help. I think tutoring is an excellent idea for those students that may be falling behind or who may need extra help to further their education. I know I did when I was younger!
