Personal Description:

I am a 29 year old Australian Female living and teaching in London. I arrived in London last January and have been enjoying travelling and working. I am now looking into being sponsored by my school in Notting Hill and remaining in London for at least a further two years.

I am a very easy going and friendly person. Children have always responded well to me from a young age and I love working in a school environment. I have worked as a Tutor, Babysitter, After School Carer, Youth Camp Co-ordinator, Children Crisis Centre Support Worker , Pre-school Teacher, Special Needs Teacher, Pupil Referral Unit Teacher and a Primary Teacher, therefore i have a variety of experience.... I know kids!

I am studying my Masters externally from Australia. My goal is to become a Guidance Officer (School Counsellor) on my return to Australia.

I enjoy being active. I belong to a gym and play netball and touch football in the summer time. I also love reading, travel, theatre, watching movies and socialising with my friends.

I enjoy teaching English. As a child I had a story published in a children's collection of writing. I love to teach children how to read and write.

I have tutored in the past and my tutees have all improved greatly with time.

Teaching Special Needs has given me wonderful experiences teaching one-on-one. I am very knowledgeable in planning and implementing individual programs that pinpoint and focus on building upon the child's existing knowledge and pinpointing areas of concern in order to make improvements in confidence and ability.

I think that it is important that myself and my tutee get along and enoy the experience together.
