Personal Description:
I am a young and enthusiastic English teacher, passionate about my subject and dedicated to finding various ways of making it accessible to learners. I enjoy spending time with young people of all ages; I believe I can offer a helpful and positive service to you or your child.
I am relaxed, warm and friendly and available often at short notice.
Teaching Experience:
With several years of experience aiding children with their education, either in a professional capacity through my teaching, or in a more relaxed manner with family friends and tutees, I feel I have built up a strong ability to explain my subject in a coherent manner.
Currently teaching English at Secondary School, I have classes ranging from 13 to 18 years. I also have experience teaching Primary and pre-school children, as well as some experience teaching the Scottish Higher.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is one that is organised, coherent and specific to each child's individual needs. Obviously, I focus on the areas that they require the most help with; through a use of methods such as revision, past papers, reading and writing practice and discussion, I tackle problem areas, looking for ways to make them more accessible and comprehensive for each student.
