Personal Description:

- I am a native French speaker who has lived in England for 30 years.
- I married an Englishman and both our daughters have had the benefit of growing up in a bilingual environment.
- I have always enjoyed learning and teaching languages and have taken my GCSE in Italian.
- I enjoy socialising and meeting new people, exercising, reading or going to the cinema or theatre.

Teaching Experience:

- 2 years as a French Assistant.
- 4 years teaching French at primary level.
- Past experience of private tutoring when registered with 3 agencies.
- Own private tutoring for adults/ companies/ town-twinning group/University Students.
- Teaching at three secondary schools over a period of 21 years and until recently teaching at secondary level in Hertfordshire from year 7 right through to GCSE and A level.
- In my last school I was 2nd in Modern Languages Department , Coordinator for Able, gifted and talented students for 8 years and International Coordinator.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that a variety of teaching methods, stimulating resources, and carefully planned lessons are essential to meet the needs of each individual student. I think that learning another language is very beneficial from an academic point of view but also helps you to understand the world we live in. As a teacher I understand the difficulties met by students and I provide them with ways of developing a better competence in the language and improving their exam techniques.
