Personal Description:

My name is Tayo and I am a certified Change management, Earned value management and PRINCE2 project management professional. I have over 20 years proven experience working in various business related roles. As a result, I am able to teach either yourself or your child various aspects of business studies.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored a number of individuals, admittedly mostly adults, in various aspects of the business studies discipline. Some clients needed help with the understanding and applying what they were being taught in their degree or master's programme. Some people needed to understand the fundamental principles of a new role they had taken on. I have quite a few 'success' stories and will be able to request references as and when required.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is as follows:

(a) First off I establish what the client would like to achieve ie do they want to understand a particular subject area, or perhaps they want to pass an exam. Maybe the client is about to go for an interview and needs help with preparation or it may be they are about to start a new role and need help gaining confidence in that area.

(b) Spend a quarter of the tutorial time, catching up on the previously taught material to ensure that the tutee understands the subject material before moving on.

(c) Spend about three-quarters of the tutorial time providing an insight into the subject by providing facts, insights, practical examples and insights from a personal perspective.

(d) Set 'homework' or something to go and read up on to further enhance the learning experience

Qualifications:

• BA Combined degree in Business Studies with Sociology
• NVQ Level 3 equivalent Small Business Programme
• Associate Career Coach
• Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping. Practitioner Level in Change Mangement and Prince2
