Personal Description:
I have just moved to Glasgow as I have been living in Vancouver - Canada for the past year and a half. I love seeing new places and meeting new people and am outgoing, friendly and passionate about helping people reach their potential.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught as a class teacher in a London Primary school for 2 years. I was teaching Year 4 (8/9 years old) but have experience with other ages. While teaching I worked with children of all abilities, including gifted and able children as well as those with Special Educational Needs and those with little or no english. My teaching was classed as Very Good by OFSTED in their school inspection.
Since returning from Canada I have been tutoring a dyslexic boy for his year 6 Standard Attainment Tests in all subjects but specialising in Maths, English and Science.
Tutoring Approach:
The reason I want to continue tutoring is that I believe there is no better job! Whatever you have to learn I will help you to understand it by making it interesting and enjoyable. Where I can I use a 'hands on' approach and always use humour to make learning fun. I believe there is always a way to make a concept understandable - my job is to find it!
