Recent graduate from Oxford University (BA Hons 2007); living in central London (NW1) near to Marylebone tube station; freelance musician and actor, looking to earn a living tutoring pupils of secondary school age in English, Music, Drama and Classical Greek; very friendly and approachable, with lots of experience working with young people; flexible schedule and negotiable rates.
Teaching Experience:
English language tutoring for Oxford Tutors UK, working in and around London with AS- and A-level students; work experience teaching English as a Foreign Language in Nordrhein-Westfalen (Germany); have helped various GCSE and A-level students with their coursework and exam preparation.
Tutoring Approach:
Very adaptable and flexible, tailoring the tutorials to each pupil's individual requirements; strong belief in consolidating tutorial work by setting small, manageable pieces of homework, just to ensure that the concepts covered are fully understood; aware of each exam board's particular assessment criteria, and concerned above all with making sure that the pupil never deviates too far from these.
