Personal Description:
Experienced teacher and tutor who specialises in English and Media Studies. I studied English Literature at degree level and have industry experience in film / TV.
I have a friendly approach to work and believe in nurturing the student to achieve their potential.
I have a good range on my own resources and strong computer skills. I'm a patient, kind and thoughtful person who enjoys helping students succeed.
Teaching Experience:
Two years working at a tough South London secondary school, followed by 18 months in West London / Surrey secondaries.
For the last few years, I have worked as a freelance tutor in the film industry, tutoring child actors on films such as The Golden Compass and Harry Potter 6.
My degree and training were in English but I am a strong all-rounder.
Tutoring Approach:
Happy to travel within 25 miles of my home in Ely.
I believe in a nurturing approach to helping my students improve their skills. I am approachable yet firm. I expect my students to do work hard during our time together
