Personal Description:
I am 23 years old and work as a Special Support Assistant in a Behavioural Unit. I graduated from Northumbria University last year after studying BSc Psychology for 4 years.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked as a Special Support Assistant in a Behavioural Unit (PALS) for a year and a half. I'm currently planning, implementing and teaching ICT Clait to learners aged 14-16. Throughout my role I have support students with behavioural and learning difficulties in many subjects e.g English and Maths being the main ones. I also have experience working with learners aged 7-10, supporting them in Numeracy and Literacy.
Between finishing University and working for PALS I have ample experience working in primary and secondary schools as I worked for a supply agency.
Tutoring Approach:
I love teaching and as I work with learners who have behavioural and learning difficulties I have learned to be very patient. I also understand that each learner is different and may require a different learning style. I try to accommodate this as best as I can, by changing how I present information or worksheets.
