Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified Teacher of English with a role within my current academy as Assistant Principal and Subject Director of English.
Tutoring available for Year 10 and Year 11 students:
AQA English Language Paper 1 and 2
AQA English Literature Paper 1: 'Macbeth' / 'A Christmas Carol' Paper 2: 'An Inspector Calls' / 'Power and Conflict Poetry' / 'Unseen Poetry'
Tutoring Approach:
The primary aim of my tutoring is to raise students' attainment. I set high expectations of students' attitudes and achievement. This is aided through an ethos of achieving 'personal best' and a 'can do' attitude to work and learning.
The most important thing to note is that my approach to tutoring varies depending on the student's needs. A variety of learning techniques will be implemented with a focus on promoting literacy whilst addressing the key skills of reading, writing , speaking & listening.
My tutoring approach is always relaxed, yet focused. Homework will be set.
