Information About Ciara:


Personal Description:

I am a 25 year old female, with a BA Honours in English and Psychology. I also have a Higher Diploma in Psychology, which means i have a BPS accredited degree in Psychology. I have experience working with vulnerable people and learners, including learners with a learning and/or physical disability. I am currently working as a Learning Support Worker, providing support to a group of learners, ranging in age from 21-60.



Teaching Experience:

As a learning support assistant, i provide support to learners, adapting the style and tehnique i use, to meet the needs of the learner. I have taught the class, unsupervised, on a number of occassions, when the teacher has been absent due to sickness, meetings or appointments.



Tutoring Approach:

I am a patient and compassionate person, with a good understanding of the obstacles that learners may face. I am capable of motivating learners, to focus on and subsequently meet their goals. I am approachable and sensitive towards learners, and i can adapt the style, pace and content of lessons to meet the particular needs of the learner.I believe tutoring is all about helping learners to help themselves, supporting them to set goals for themselves, and helping them to meet these goals.
