Personal Description:
I really enjoy working with children and greatly missed it when I had to stop teaching due to a family illness. I have chosen to tutor because I get the best of both worlds, working with children and spending time with my own family.
Teaching Experience:
I have been a teacher for over 20 years. I have worked as a private tutor for 10 years supporting a wide range of students with quite complex needs as well as helping pupils with difficulties in Literacy or Numeracy. My Special Needs experience includes supporting students with Dyslexia, fine/gross motor skills difficulties, speech delays and ADHD.
Tutoring Approach:
I want to help children succeed to the best of their ability and help them to achieve back in the classroom. I try to make the sessions fun, so as to keep the students well motivated, and to do this I often use games to support the learning.
