Information About Dawn:


Personal Description:

I have completed one year of a BA Honours degree in Primary Education. I am now studying for a BA Honours degree in Spanish and Italian and plan to study further for a PGCE to enable me to become a special needs teacher. I am very experience and the majority of my work has been with children with moderate and severe learning difficulties.



Teaching Experience:

I have done work placements in both mainstream and special needs schools, working with children from eight years old to eighteen years old. I work on both a voluntary and paid basis in a school for children with severe learning difficulties and work at the annual summer scheme each year.



Tutoring Approach:

1. Determine the needs of the pupil;
2. Highlight the pupil's strengths and weaknesses;
3. Determine the pupil's learning style;
4. Use all of the above to develop an action plan and approach to tutoring.

Finally it is important to asess how the goals have been met, if they haven't, take further action in order to make sure that they are achieved.

Qualifications:

  • 10 GCSES: Maths, English, English Literature, DA Science, ICT, Geography, R.E, Spanish, French
  • 3 A Levels: Spanish, English Literature, Business Studies (All high Grade A)
  • One year of BA Hons Primary Education Degree; BA Hons Hispanic Studies.
  • Autism Induction qualification
