Personal Description:

I am 26 years old and recently married. I live in Haslemere with my husband and two cats.

I am a friendly and outgoing person. I like to exercise and recently run the London Marathon and a triathlon. In my spare time I like to cook and enjoy arts and crafts.

Teaching Experience:

I have recently achieved a PGCE qualification in Primary Teaching from London South Bank University and in 2003 I graduated from UWIC with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Development. After completing the BSc I spent three years working in the sports marketing industry.

I am experienced at teaching all primary levels (Foundation, Key stage 1 and 2) but have specialised in helping Year 6 pupils with sitting SATs exams and entrance exams in to senior school.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to take a diagnostic approach with the children and discuss what they would like to achieve from their tutoring sessions. In addition, I believe that parents play a key role in a child's education and like to involve parents and keep them informed in their child's development and progress.

My priority is to create a comfortable environment for the child to learn, with my friendly approach and teaching style I can achieve the best results with each child. I like to make the session interactive and fun and often incorporate ICT to keep the lessons compelling and stimulating for the child..

I particularly like to teach the children strategies for learning that best suit their learning styles. This enables them to manage and take control of their own learning.

I am happy to tutor from your home or my home wherever is best environment for the child to learn.
