Information About Valeria:


Personal Description:

female postgraduate student from Italy. I got a First class Honor Degree in Chemistry, obtained in Italy and a PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I am currently working as a Research associate in the chemistry department at NTU. Very sociable, friendly and patient, I enjoy teaching to people at all levels of knowledge.



Teaching Experience:

I worked as a Tutor for the courses of "Chemistry and Laboratory of Chemistry" for one semester at the University of Cagliari (Italy). as part of my job, I am currently involved in following courses at NTU: skills for chemistry (1st year) and Laboratory of Inorganic chemistry (2nd year).
I also had several private tutorial experience with students at University level.

Italian is my first language, and I can confidently apply and explain the grammar, helping you improving writing, listening and speaking skills



Tutoring Approach:

Chemistry tutorials will be focused on the individual needs, with exercises and examples taken from everyday life to make this subject fully understandable and enjoyable (it is possible, believe me!!)

Italian tutorials can be based on the study and appropriate application of the grammar rules or just conversation, or both, depending upon the priority of the student. References to Italian lifestyle and culture are made.
