Personal Description:
I am a recent graduate from the University of Glasgow (MA (with Distinction) in Literary Studies). I have studied English in both Language and Literature forms at university level, with exemplary essay and exam results.
Teaching Experience:
I have no formal teaching experience, however I am keen to learn and often assist friends with essay-writing, grammar skills, etc. I think I have a talent for simplifying complex ideas, and for tailoring explanations for a person's specific requirements. My exemplary record of part-time work in the service industry has made me an excellent communicator, who has a friendly and open attitude to new people and situations.

I believe that my passion for the subject makes me an interesting and effective tutor.
My wide experience of the subject means that I can adapt easily to whatever students need. Whether it's assistance with essay writing, reading skills, exam technique, or even grammar and punctuation, I can help. I am a patient, amiable person who enjoys helping others to learn; my relaxed but firm attitude will put students at ease and enable them to truly engage with the English language and it's great achievements, bringing not only improved academic performance, but also a lifelong love of the subject.
