Personal Description:
I am a young professional working in renewable energy in London. I have previously completed an MSc in Environmental Engineering and a BSc in Physics, both at Imperial College London.
Teaching Experience:
While at school I participated in a peer tutoring scheme where older students helped those in younger years for an hour or two after school a couple of days a week. Once at university I also participated in a buddy scheme where first year students were partnered with older ones to give them a student point of contact in the department. I have also previously tutored students taking their Scottish Higher exams.
Tutoring Approach:
For many students the problem, especially when exams are approaching, is not the material itself but lack of time in class or organisation. I know from experience that taking the time to have a concept explained one to one or even just in a different way from the teacher at school can make all the difference.
