Personal Description:
I am a part time tutor in the South West London area, available for evening and weekend appointments. I teach French to A level, I studied French at Lincoln University and the Universit de Savoie and lived in France for a total of two years. I also studied German at Sheffield Hallam University and Giessen Universitaet, and teach German to GCSE and sometimes AS level.
Teaching Experience:
I hold a PGCE in post compulsory education from the University of Greenwich and a TESOL teaching certificate from St Giles college. I have also lectured in tourism at Westminster Kingsway College.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very much an advocate of the diagnostic approach to learning and will adapt my teaching to suit the student. Some students may find that the 'total immersion' approach to language learning helps, even in the early stages. Lessons will be equally between conversation, grammar, listening and reading practice. Homework can be set depending on the time constraints of the tutee.
