Teaching Experience:
Taught chemistry, physics, biology and maths to fellow A level students for pocket money, and my interest for and talent in teaching was realised then.
Since then have taught students at Holland Park School, High Street Kensington for a year and also volunteered to tutor and exceptionally challenging yet intelligent group of maths and science GCSE students.
Ran a summer course this year for A2 level students at the above school who were going to sit the Oxbridge entrance exams BMAT and LNAT.
Am a university guidance officer for the British Council, Colombo, Sri Lanka, specalising in medical degree entrance in the UK.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a firm teacher, but from past experience students have appreciated my class control. Develop a great rapport with each individual student and caters teaching material accordingly. I strongly believe that most children are of similar intellect- the only difference that affects current performance is a sound grounding in subject knowledge.
