Personal Description:

I am a young enthusiastic Software Engineer who is passionate to teach the wonders of Mathematics and Physics. I have been a top student throughout my academic carrier and I have achieved a MEng First class degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering, in addition to 3A's in A-Level (Further Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics). I have also topped the class in the 1st and 2nd year of University and I have won several awards for Mathematics throughout my academic career.

Teaching Experience:

I have been independently tutoring Maths to Primary to A-Level students for past four years in addition to Physics for GCSE and A-Level students. I have had great success in guiding the students to achieve excellent grades through understanding their needs and requirements. I always try to induced the passion for Mathematics and Physics among all my pupils.

Tutoring Approach:

I do follow the three basic fundamental principal to teach:

First I assess the student to understand his/her needs and requirements. This would benefit the student and my self, in order for me to begin explaining the concepts from their level.

Secondly to make the student understand the fundamental concepts behind the subject. For this I make my own examples and work sheets. I go through every error that a student makes in order to understand their difficulties and explain their mistakes. This would build a very good platform for the student to approach any problem in a logical and analytical way.

Thirdly I train my students to able apply the knowledge in an exam condition. In order to eradicate the fear of exams, I set tests after every unit.

Above all I try to give the wider knowledge in the subject rather than completely sticking to the syllabus.

Qualifications:

• Master of Engineering with Distinction in Electronics and Computer Engineering
• 3A's in A-Level (Mathematics, Furhter Mathematics and Physics)
• 10 Distinction in GCE O-Level Sri Lanka
