Personal Description:
I am twenty-four year old primary school teacher. I am originally from Toronto, Canada and have spent the last year teaching in Glasgow and the year previous to that at Teacher's college in Glasgow at The University of Strathclyde. I enjoy reading, bike riding, running, and out activities. I thrive in any type of environment and am quite adaptable to any situation I am put in. I spent the majority of my childhood as a competitive figure skater where I learned the skills of teamwork and hardwork. I believe I am a happy, outgoing, and friendly person with an inviting personality.
Teaching Experience:
For the past year I have been temporary teaching throughout Glasgow in a variety of primary classes in different socio-economical areas. I have had experiencing teaching all subjects in primary and have specialized as an art teacher and health teacher for primaries one through to seven.
Tutoring Approach:
In regards to tutoring I structure my lessons much like I would a classroom lesson. I like it to be interesting, interactive, and engaging as well as informative. With tutoring however, more material can be covered in a lesson or less material based on the learner. As well i find it important to meet with the tutee first to gain some background into their education, difficulties and learning style. Therefore, lessons can be based to gain maximum learning. I believe in a relaxed, comfortable tutoring environment where the learner is keen to participate and keen to ask questions.
