Personal Description:
I am a 50 something female and have a BSc in Maths/Physics from the Open University. I enjoy working one to one with students or in small groups; tutorials are tailor made for each student, based on an assessment and previous exam results.
My other qualifications include City and Guilds 7302 Certificate in Delivering Learning.
I tutor students in their own home and I am willing to travel within the Colchester area up to about 10 miles. I am available to teach daytime, evenings and Saturdays.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked as a private tutor for 7 years. I have a medical background, which includes tutoring and mentoring student technicians and nurses.
Tutoring Approach:
The first time I meet a student I ask them to do an assessment for me, this lets me know where the student is and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Lessons are tailor made to the individuals needs based on the assessment and on discussions with the parents and student.
