Tutoring Approach:

My appraoch to tutoring is about getting to know the student. I think that it tutoring is about me spending time getting to know a pupil and deciding what their particular strenght and weaknesses are to work on those. I think personal tutition is about building the skills and confidence of a child, in a personalised way.

There is a two pronged approach to English tuition. Firstly, working on students particular skills and literacy needs and secondly, supporting and helping them understand areas of the curriculum they are struggling with. For example, this maybe coursework or an aspect of the SATs exams, such as the Shakespeare paper.

My approach is to ultimately to provide individuals with the extra support and encouragement they need to progress.
