Information About Lorna:


Personal Description:

I am a friendly, easy going, female who has recently completed a maths degree through the Open University. I enjoy maths but at the same time understand the many difficulties that people face when trying to grasp the basics. I work in an Art college and cinema in Dundee.



Teaching Experience:

I have worked on a one-to-one basis with children with behavioural and learning difficulties and am currently tutoring maths at Higher, Intermediate and standard grade level.



Tutoring Approach:

I have an encouraging and enthusiastic approach to teaching maths. I fully appreciate many of the difficulties associated with learning the subject and will plan lessons carefully to meet the needs of the individual pupil/adult. Will provide textbooks and past papers as well as extra exercises to boost confidence. I understand that sometimes the learner will be an adult who, for whatever reason, needs some extra help with maths so would tailor my teaching appropriately.
