Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic tutor able to quickly build a rapport and put a tutee at ease. I hold a Masters level qualification from the University of Liverpool and have a high 2:1 in my MA English Literature and History from Jesus College, Oxford University. I am in a full-time teaching role and have been A Level Co-ordinator for English and Media and am currently a Head of Department. I have received regular 'Outstanding' lesson observations. I am also a Sixth Form Personal Tutor and have experience of helping with personal statements, entrance exams and interview preparation.

Teaching Experience:

4 years teaching in UK schools including training. Helped lead Summer Schools at Oxford University. Examiner for A Level exams.

Tutoring Approach:

Enthuse and inspire! I use stimulus material from interesting and varied sources to look at my subjects from a new and original angle. I am happy to focus on essay writing, knowledge acquisition or revision.
