Personal Description:
I am a Chartered Electronics Engineer with 25+ year's all-round post-graduate experience in a variety of academic, industrial and research environments. I am married and have a teenage son.
Teaching Experience:
I received a BA (Hons) in Electronic Engineering and MSc in Opto-Electronics from Essex University where I lectured in electronics and communication systems. I have also taught at Bradford University and at Open University summer schools.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to cultivate a deeper understanding of the subject rather than merely a superficial set of facts and problem-solving rules.
I also believe that learning is best achieved by actively engaging in the subject - you learn by doing - not by just being a spectator. Practice and experience count more than anything else - the more you do the easier it gets and the better you get at doing it.
