Personal Description:

I am a young, friendly, qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language who has been teaching since 2002. I studied English Philology in Poland and qualified in 2006 with an excellent result (5 - the equivalent of a first class honours degree). I came to London 4 years ago.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught English to foreigners at language schools (community programme at South Thames College, Wandsworth College of Advanced Studies, Elite College) as well as to private students (on a one-to-one basis). At the moment I teach English to small groups of Polish people.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a patient, friendly and interesting approach. I am able to adapt my teaching methods to the ability level of the student. I use text books as well as a variety of teaching resources prepared by myself.
I teach:
- small groups of students (up to 4) in my house, charging 10 pounds per person for 90 mins
- on a one-to-one basis, charging 15 pounds per hour.

Qualifications:

• Sept 2007 - Sept 2008 - MA Translation and Interpreting at the University of Westminster
• September 2006 – IELTS examination (International English Language Testing System), overall score: 7.75 points (the equivalent of the Cambridge Proficiency level)
• September 2002 – July 2006 – Bachelor of Arts (5 – Excellent - the equivalent of a first class honours degree) in English Philology with teaching specialisation at The Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, Poland
• September 2003 – June 2004 – Advanced English course at BCA Language School in Barnes, London SW13
