Information About Sarah:


Personal Description:

I am a native English speaker, and a University of Edinburgh graduate, with an MA (Honours) in History. I hold an Oxford Trinity TESOL certificate. I recently returned to Edinburgh, after teaching in South America. I am young, friendly, and motivated. In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography and scuba-diving.



Teaching Experience:

I completed my Trinity TESOL course in Prague in 2004. I have 2 years' experience as an EFL teacher, working in Prague, London and Cali, Colombia, and teaching as a volunteer in Romania, India and Costa Rica. I have worked with students from all walks of life. I have taught all levels, from children to adults. I have taught general English, business English, English for Tourism, and FCE preparation. I have experience of teaching large classes (up to 18 students), and individual students on a 1-to-1 basis.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a very positive attitude towards education. I am sensitive to students' needs, and very flexible in how and what I teach, in order to give my students what they really need. I am very approachable, and it is important to me that students feel comfortable in my classes, and are and satisfied with the teaching they receive. I am dedicated, well-organised and hard-working.
