Personal Description:
I am a native French speaker currently teaching French in Brighton and Hove for Le Club Francais.
I am 24 years old and have studied Teaching French as a Foreign Language and French Literature at the Sorbonne University for 3 years.
I have been living in England for 4 years.
Teaching Experience:
I am currently teaching French to children in after-school clubs for Le Club Francais. I am also giving private tuition to children (with the use of games and songs) and to a 13 year old boy, helping him prepare his GCSE exam. Last year I taught French to two adults, a Spaniard and a German, who both intended to go to live in France, and who are now doing so.
Tutoring Approach:
When teaching young children my approach consists in privileging a natural use of the language, through games, songs, drama and the use of new technologies. My main aim is to make children discover how fun learning a language is, as I think their progress always flows from that.
When teaching adults and teenagers, my method consists in adapting my lessons to each individual. Indeed, you certainly have specific reasons for learning French, and you are probably receptive to a specific way of learning, and it is through adapting my lessons to these factors that you will be able to learn quickly, in a fun and rewarding way.
