Jane - Nottingham tutor
Information About Jane:
Personal Description:
I am a 25 year old Dietitian, and I have been study for my PhD for the last 3 years. My job is extremely varied and has provided me with a wide range of experiences I feel I could bring to a tutoring post. I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (including Biology). I am a very friendly, outgoing and patient tutor who can quickly create a good rapport with students.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring since 2006. During this time I have tutored nutrition and dietetic students through their degree courses and have helped many students achieve good grades in their A-level (biology and chemistry) and GCSE (science/geography) examinations. Most students grades improve by one or two grades.
I have experience of various exam boards, and can competently work with students on their exam technique to best prepare them for their upcoming exams. I have many resources and practice exam papers to help students to achive excel in exams.
Tutoring Approach:
I am able to break down large chunks of information into smaller, understandable parts. I am able to place problems in a real context, which helps to aid a students understanding. Through my tutoring experiences I understand that the same approach to teaching will not apply to every student and I am able to adapt my teaching style to suit. I work with the student to identify areas of difficulty, and work with the student to meet their individual learning aims. I try to make my lessons as fun and relevant as possible and welcome feedback from students and parents.
References from previous students are available on request and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
