Information About William:

Personal Description:

Hi my name is William, I am 30 years old. I have been teaching French in a variety of schools in the west end of Glasgow ranging from primary to secondary. I am currently a fully registered teacher of modern languages and have been teaching for a couple of years.

Teaching Experience:

Having grown up in France, I have I am perfectly bilingual English-French, and as such, have been teaching here in Scotlandnfor two years. In 2010 I completed an MA in English and American Lit and am currently living and teaching in Glasgow.

Tutoring Approach:

Patience, enunciation, pronunciation, repetition and above all, to enjoy the transmission of a foreign language and to be able to appreciate the difficulties implied. An ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and to be able to maintain a constant level of standard for the rest of the class.

I am a keen communicator and enjoy the opportunity to enthuse and motivate pupils in the apprenticeship of a modern language. Through my own experience I know, and believe in the importance of accessing the ability to communicate in more than one language. It seems essential to me that within an ever expanding and multicultural Europe to emphasise and promote the role of modern languages from the earliest age possible. It is inevitable to deny the obvious advantages of both working with, and being taught by a native speaker, and to be able to rely on the enthusiasm and passion they have for their own language and culture.
