Information About Nicola:
Personal Description:
I am a new teacher, with an extensive background in English. I have a BA (hons) degree in Creative Writing from the University of Leeds, and experience teaching drama and costume workshops to school groups, and writing classes at an American summer camp.
Teaching Experience:
I will qualify as a Secondary English teacher in June 2007. In my trainee year I have taught from Year 7, right through to A-Level, in two placement schools. The first was a comprehensive school, where I gained a lot of experience working with pupils who had special educational needs and requirements. The second is a grammar school, giving me experience working with higher achieving pupils
Tutoring Approach:
I am a very calm and patient person, and I am willing to help to highlight areas for improvement, or work towards specific targets set by the tutee / parents.
From 13th June onwards I will be available to work weekday daytimes in addition to evenings/weekends.
