Personal Description:

My name is Aikaterini Georgoula . I am originally from Corfu , a beautiful island in the north-west part of Greece . I came here in UK , in 2002 and i studied Linguistics and Phonetics in the University of Leeds . After this , i trained as a teacher of English to speakers of other language in Durham University .I really enjoyed the course and i found it very interesting and challenging .
I am a native speaker of Greek and also a fluent speaker of English Language . Also i completed a course in Italian at Upper-intermediate level and also in my free time i am learning Spanish and French .

Finally , i am a person who enjoys reading , writing , learning about other cultures and languages , dancing (salsa and belly dancing in specific), walking , designing jeweleries .

Teaching Experience:

Generally speaking , i have some experience in teaching . That is , 6 hours of observed teaching which was part of my course in Durham University . I have also observed some classes of experienced teachers which gave me the opportunity to get some more ideas on teaching and the confidence to teach in the future .

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that teaching should be enjoyable to all students , including adults .
Learning a foreign language can me more fun if is done through a lot of activities and games .

Generally speaking , i am a highly motivated and very positive person , and that is what a i believe that will make me a good tutor . My approach towards previous lessons and students was very positive and this made me establish a good rapport with them . The students were very cooperative with me and they were not afraid to ask me any questions that they might have had .
