Personal Description:

I was born, raised and educated in Mauritius. I have a relaxing approach to life and this includes my tutoring style.

I enjoy teaching French as this is both theraputic & pleasurable.

Being a past tutee of private tuition classes and now a housewife, I understand the importance, value and role the tutor plays in the development of a student.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored my sister, her friends and family members between the ages of 11-16. I have been giving private tuition in the U.K. for the past 2 years.

Tutoring Approach:

1. Ask the tutee's purpose of the requirement for a tutor.

2. Assess the knowledge of the tutee. This could be either in writing or oral.

3. Based on the tutee's level, I tailor a specific program to achieve the tutee's goal.

4. I set homework after each class which has to be completed by the next session.

5. The homework is reviewed at the beginnning of the next session.

6. To determine the progress of the tutee, I set an exam-style test after 4 sessions (or depending on the number of classes). This is composed of both written and oral.

7. Discuss the results of the exam and adjust the "goal posts" as necessary.

8. Test again 4 sessions later.

Qualifications:

• GCSE in French - Grade A
• Over 20 years experience - both oral and writing
