Personal Description:

I'm a professional musician in the centre of York.



Teaching Experience:

Over the past few years, I've trained adults and young people in music, specifically choral singing. For three years I ran York's youth choir, and I now run an adult chamber choir and act as guest conductor for another. I also teach classical guitar and music theory privately, including recent experience with both children and adults, and I'm familiar with KS3 and GCSE syllabuses as well as ABRSM and Trinity theory grades.

Tutoring Approach:

I adopt a straightforward, friendly approach to tutoring. I'm always careful to define what exactly it is you want to get out of tutoring before we start, whether it be generally improving your musicality or working towards a particular qualification.

I'm flexible regarding timings - I understand that people have busy lives - so I generally don't charge for missed lessons.

I've never tried online tutoring but I'm happy to give it a go!
