Information About Priyanka:
Personal Description:
I am currently a student at the London School of Economics and
Political Sciences (LSE) pursuing a Masters degree in Social
Psychology and Education, focusing on Education in developing
countries. My dissertation is to be based on a variety of teaching
methods employed in Latin American and the UK known as the Creative
Values Partnership project. Additionally, I am working on a curriculum
with UNICEF and the British Council based on an 'International
Education' for children in British Primary Schools.
Teaching Experience:
My undergraduate degree was obtained from King's College London, where
I studied BA English Language and Communication. As a consequence of
my budding interest in teaching, I opted to study modules based on
language teaching during my degree. I completed an EFL course at
King's College London with a Merit (details of which can be found
below). I spent this summer teaching English as a Foreign Language to children aged 11-18 at GEOS Academy in Ealing and have extensive experience in other fields of teaching and education. I have tutored many children on a one-to-one basis as well as given
conversation classes to adults with English as a foreign language.
Tutoring Approach:
I am extremely passionate about teaching, believe in a variety of
methods and most importantly in creativity and fun while maintaining a
strong sense of effective learning. I have a natural, comfortable
and friendly rapport with students and as a result a
strong relationship of trust and confidence is established, enabling
shared goals and objectives to be achieved.
