Personal Description:

I am an easy going, calm and patient person who is also a holistic therapist. I am currently A teacher/lecturer at the largest college in Bristol. Teaching young people with special needs.
I am also a Qualified Social Worker with experience with young people and families; experience with young people in Care, in Residential care, Psychiatric, special learning needs/learning difficulties.

Teaching Experience:

I currently teach basic/essential skills; numeracy literacy, communication and social/independence skills. i am a personal tutor.
I also taught and supported Social work students whilst on placement (practice tutor), marking and assessing assignments/portfolios.
I have PGCE/ city & guilds73 06, and 92 81Basic skills training/tesol, NVQ D32/33 assessors. Basil-adult pre-entry curriculum framework for literacy/numeracy.
I also have various qualifications, which are social work based, but which are valuable in teaching circumstances i.e. counselling, coping with challenging behaviour.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in enabling young people and adults to reach their full potential in education and life, being able to reach and take the best opportunities offered in life, whether this is to learn a different language and move abroad or to improve your basic skills to get the job and qualifications you dream of, or just to feel good about yourself and your achievements in life.
I am always looking for different and inspiring ways to pass on knowledge and be as effective and efficient as I can.
