Personal Description:
I am a native German speaker and professional language teacher. I have a degree in English language and literature, Spanish literature and German as a foreign language (M.A. grade 1.3).
Teaching Experience:
At the moment I am teaching German to adult learners (groups of up to 16 learners) and also various German classes at the University of Edinburgh.
I worked as a self-employed languages teacher in Germany. I taught German as a foreign language to adults, mainly in a company in the automotive sector. In addition, I tutored school children between the ages of 7 and 17 in English and German. I have been teaching all levels and all age groups.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that my classes are very enjoyable, as I love teaching and tutoring. At the same time I have experience in teaching different ages and levels and always take the wishes and needs of the learners into consideration.
I think that it is important to be able to communicate in another language, so conversation plays an important role in my classes. I also include games and music. However, there is no way around learning some grammar, too....but even that can be fun.
