Personal Description:
Currently writing up a PhD in Molecular Biology, possess a 2.1 honours degree in Genetics.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught small groups of medical students as well as one-to one teaching at pre- GCSE and GCSE level. I used to run a Saturday Performing Arts School in East London with 40 students and five teachers. I am keen to gain further experience in teaching.
Tutoring Approach:
The onus is on the student to gain the confidence in the subject they have problems with. I believe that once this confidence has been gained the student can be guided and problems can be solved using logical thinking.
At higher levels (post-GCSE) I like to ask questions and explain the background to the problem so that the student may be able to provide answers to the queries for themselves.
