Information About Christopher:


Personal Description:

I am a B/MUS Jazz Graduate of Edith Cowan University Conservatorium of Music, Perth, West Australia. I am a trombonist & jazz composer with many projects incl Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.



Teaching Experience:

I have a decade of teaching experience ranging from Youth Jazz Orchestra's to University students (enrolled in above Jazz Course & RSAMD, Glasgow) in Australia & Scotland. I have successfully coached many students through their graduation recital preparation/performance material at High School and University level on all brass instruments and for improvisation/jazz theory.



Tutoring Approach:

I mainly work in the jazz genre but have on many occasions been called upon to work as a tutor/mentor for students edging towards exams/recitals. I use a wholistic approach to teaching that involves relaxation techniques, rote learning, confidence building and thorough knowledge of the material to be studied/performed.
