Personal Description:
I am a soon-to-be graduate with a predicted first class degree in Italian Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London. I will also be continuing my studies next year at UCL, taking a Masters in Italian cultural studies for which I have been lucky enough to receive a scholarship.
I am a diligent student myself, and enjoy helping others to get the most out of their subjects.
I am a patient and friendly person with a relaxed but organised approach to teaching.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught English as a foreign language over several years at EF summer schools and though I have little experience teaching adults and older student as yet, I feel I'd be well suited to it as I myself am a university student and have a variety of techniques and tips for older students that I still use myself!
Tutoring Approach:
I am patient and friendly in my approach, but I also like to be organised. It is important to have a plan right from the start of the tutoring sessions; to find out what it is the student hopes to achieve, and work towards that goal.

Like to have visual stimuli, others prefer just to listen or to write everything down, so it's important to establish what's best from the beginning.
For me, the most important part of tutoring someone is to equip them with study skills they take take into any subject. Whether you are a mature student, who needs help getting back into academic life, or a first year who needs to adjust to the difference in university study, I can help.
