Personal Description:
Dear students,
I am from Beijing. So if you would like to pick up authentic Mandarin accent, I am the one. I am currently working as a trading assistant at a currency broker in London.
Having been educated in both UK and Chinese universities, I can competently converse and conduct business in both English and Mandarin. Holding an MSc in International Business with Merit from Nottingham University Business School, I have acquired a solid academic background in diverse areas of the international business arena. I have also lived and worked in multiple countries including the UK, Germany, the US, and China, through which I have obtained an excellent awareness of western and eastern business culture and practice.
Teaching Experience:
1. Bo Ya English School, Beijing, China-Private English Tutor
• Tutored three IELTS candidates to improve their overall English language
• Designed a student centred course adapted to students' needs. Their scores increased by around 30%.
2. English First English School, Beijing, China-Teaching Assistant
• Prepared various teaching materials several times a day.
• Translated lesson instructions and complex grammar points for students, and bridged the communication gap between Chinese and English.
• Helped manage the behaviour of students and took temporary control of the class if the teacher was forced to remove a troublesome student from the room.
