Chris - Walsall tutor
Information About Chris:
Personal Description:
I have previously studied Mathematics at GCSE and A Level and I am going into my final year of my Mathematics degree and for the past two years have worked in a school doing what I enjoy which is helping and guiding students with mathematics. I like to think of myself as a patient, understanding and sensitive person, I can relate to students problems they may experience and help overcome such problems.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked in a school as an Academic Coach from 01/03/2012 and still work there now. My work usually involves working in the classroom helping different students of different abilities, for example in my first year working at the school I often worked with groups of students who were underachieving and students who were unlikely to achieve grade C, although in my second year i have worked mainly with gifted and talented students to give them that extra boost to achieve grade A potentials.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to believe that teaching and working with students is not just about teaching them how to pass exams as the knowledge is often forgotten, I firmly believe in students being thoroughly educated. I feel I am patient and understanding towards tutoring students and like to spread my enthusiasm and passion for maths. During tutoring sessions the students would be taught to apply the knowledge to the exam style tasks in hand.
